(NH investigators) The Stewart royal commission of inquiry (1983-85) into the activities of the Nugan Hand Group - Don Stewart uncovered little new information. Assigned by NSW Parliament to resolve many unanswered questions of previous investigations. Don Stewart also headed Royal Commission into Drug Trafficking 1981 revealing murder and "Mr Asia". In the 1940s and 50s a NSW policeman. Gained Law degrees, served NSW District law bench 1977-81, NSW Supreme Court from 1981.

Wilson was jailed for shipping plastic explosive and detonators to Libya. Stansfield Turner, the head of the CIA, believed Shackley was closely involved in this affair and he was forced to resign. CIA chief, Richard Helms, reportedly said: Ted is what we call in the spook business a quadruple threat - Drugs, Arms, Money and Murder." Ted Shackley died in Bethesda, Maryland, in December 2002.
